CBC’s Diggstown Begins Filming in Halifax
Production for CBC’s Diggstown began last week in Halifax. The show is created by Executive Producer Floyd Kane (Across The Line) and features the first black Canadian female lead in a Canadian original drama. It stars Vinessa Antoine as Marcie Diggs, a corporate lawyer who switches to a career in legal aid in Dartmouth, N.S., after her aunt commits suicide.
Produced by Kane’s Freddie Films and Amos Adetuyi’s Circle Blue Entertainment and DHX Media, Rolling Pictures is proud to provide post production services from dailies to post picture. Our very own CTO, Mic Forsey, flew to Halifax last week to attend the first day of shooting and set up the dailies pipeline.
Brenda Greenberg (Being Erica) and Todd Berger (Wynonna Earp) are also executive producers of the show with Kelly Makin (Saving Hope) as the pilot director and executive producer.
